Triumph on the track: St John's Blue & Gold Race Day raises $30,000
Wednesday, 15 October 2025

This year's St John's College Foundation's Blue and Gold Race Day was another success, building on the hard work of previous years. Despite the threat of wet weather, the day held firm, and an impressive $30,000 was raised for St John's current and future students.

The event, which has now become a staple event in the St John's calendar, offered more than just thrilling horse racing; activities included raffles and live auctions creating multiple opportunities for attendees to contribute. The atmosphere in the Lodge Lounge was buzzing, as St John's old boys caught up and new connections were forged. Beyond fundraising, local businesses used the event as a way to reward their staff while simultaneously supporting the College.

The $30,000 raised from the race day will flow directly into the St John's College Foundation. As a charitable trust led by college alumni, the Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable and thriving future for the school. This includes financial support towards student welfare, the Catholic character of the school, academic and sporting programmes, scholarships, and building developments.

The St John's College Foundation would like to thank the following race sponsors;
