JOHN BULL, BRIAN SPARROW AND KEVIN FREWEN

We farewelled John Bull and Kevin Frewen with much aroha, a touch of sadness and a ton of laughs at year end, and Brian Sparrow in June. These 3 men have taught at St John’s since the early 80s – and total a combined service of over 100 years!

We owe each of these wonderful Marist men a debt of gratitude for their unstinting commitment to their students, and also as exemplars of the College’s special character and pillars. They are walking forwards into a new chapter called retirement and we wish them every blessing.

Special mention to our junior school who led a tremendous haka for these men, and look out for Mr Jacob Kelly presenting a taiaha to John Bull. old Boys will be pleased to know that Mr George Mahury sent a special farewell message to Frewy!
