Grace Scholarships

One of the nicer jobs Principal Shane Tong does at this time of the year is to award scholarships to our incoming Year 9 students. The Grace Family Scholarship endowment fund provides 8 scholarships each year. Some are awarded to students who demonstrate a real contribution to the Catholic character of their primary school, and some are awarded to outstanding academic performers. Schooling can feel like a very expensive choice for many of our families, and these scholarships take the pressure off the step up into a College environment. The Grace family have long been associated with philanthropic support of our Catholic community. Brothers Chris, David and Nick attended St John's here in the 70/80s era, and are continuing that support. This is the Marist ethos in action - family spirit, generosity and care of others. |
